I'll stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning substantial earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
