Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Has Seen Fans' Season 2 Bingo Cards — And She Has Good News

The highly-awaited second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel debuts on the streaming platform this week, and audience theories has been widespread.

The first season introduces a diverse group of characters residing in the afterlife, sets them at odds with songs detailing their conflicts, and establishes tense rivalries and emotional bonds that drive audience devotion.

The community's expectations for season 2 differ greatly, but certain themes recur frequently: Will Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the binding agreement constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with audience demands as the main goal," the creator commented recently. "However I feel like me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That could imply fans have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how fast the new season moves, and how many of what they're waiting for unfolds this season.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we get some incredible disclosures, some fascinating backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about season 2 — especially in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a few fans make a prediction grid about the new season," she mentions. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've actually done a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on the streaming service on October 29.
